Welcome to the website of Nilesy!

Nilesy, that is, me. My real name isn’t Nilesy. My real name is Liam J. MacKay and I’m currently a 23 year old loser who works out of the rainy backstreets of Edinburgh. I’m an amateur filmmaker, writer and am professionally contracted by Machinima.com to produce online media content and lots of other awesome stuff!

At the moment, my primary function is creating online media. Due to computing constraints it can sometimes be troublesome (read:  impossible) to make videos of certain newer games (read: any game requiring processing/graphical capacity post-2008) but I get by! After the computer has been upgraded I’ll be moving into After Effects work which should hopefully bring about a new wave of fail as I add graphical explosions to all of my MSPaint films!

In the past, leaving out the gaming videos which I have made, I have made several short films with colleagues from West Lothian College & Jewel and Esk College (in Livingston and Edinburgh respectfully). You can check out the short films I’ve made (some suck though, don’t expect huge amounts of awesome) by clicking the ‘Extras’ button in the navigation bar. If you’re going to check any of them out, I would recommend “The Final Chronicles”, which was my end of year film for my 1st year of college and is one of my proudest accomplishments.

Looking to the future I intend on continuing my production of gaming movies and online media, with the hopes of branching out into greater things in the future (stay tuned)!

This website’s aim is to both provide information and be entertaining. I’ll be using it in order to blog about random gaming/real life stuff concerning the gaming world and myself. On top of that, I’ll be using it as a platform to distribute easy and good-to-look-at release notifications for my productions for Machinima Realm, my personal channel on YouTube and any collaborative videos I make.
